2023 will be remembered as a challenging year in many respects. General uncertainty, significant changes in interest rates and declining purchasing power were just some of the challenges – and the list could go on.
Despite all this, Blue Ocean Oy Ab managed to maintain a good level of boat sales, with international sales and sailing boats playing a particularly important role. It was especially encouraging that despite the Swedish market coming to an almost complete standstill, sales to the other Nordic countries and elsewhere in Europe remained at a healthy level. Our total sales exceeded those of 2022 by a few boats, reversing the decline that followed the record sales of the pandemic years and putting us back on a growth path.
Since the beginning of the new year, we have already seen some signs of renewed activity in the market, and we are looking forward to the Vene 24 Båt Boat Show in February. Demand for sailing boats has remained at a good level throughout, and we are now also seeing signs of recovery in demand for motorboats.
The Vene 24 Båt Boat Show will be held at Messukeskus Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre from 9 to 18 February 2024, and we will be there throughout the show at stand 7h130.
