The yacht has been completely refitted for highlevel and demanding ocean racing, including well thought and functioning deck gear and running rigging, re-designed by a top English premier race boat rigging company.kThe boat features several dedicated racing enhancements, including a carbon-fibre bowsprit more than one metre longer than the original, installed in 2020–2021, allowing two or even three headsails to be flown simultaneously. The interior and weight distribution have been optimised for racing by industry professionals. The hull bottom was completely faired and repainted in 2023–2024. The boat can easily be converted between racing and cruising configurations. Since 2016, it has been serviced and maintained by a professional yacht captain. In 2022, the boat underwent an extensive refit and upgrade programme. All maintenance, equipment and spare parts have been carefully documented on an annual basis. The sail inventory includes both symmetrical and asymmetrical spinnakers, and the boat is ready to compete at every level – from inshore racing to demanding offshore events. It has an excellent racing history, including victories in Gotland Runt (2021) and the Volvo Round Ireland Yacht Race (2018). It has also competed successfully in legendary offshore races including the Fastnet, Middle Sea Race, Transatlantic and Caribbean 600 – completing all of them without retiring. Despite its racing credentials, the boat also provides very comfortable conditions for holiday cruising, with updated equipment and amenities.
